1 SAMUEL 16:7, nsv: ” But the Lord said to Samuel, “DO not look on his appearance or the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.“
This is a message sent to Samuel to not hastily judge. He clearly states that a mans heart is at the center of all things important to God, our Creator.
The card above is blank because I wanted to pose a question to readers about how they receive messages, and what might be YOUR message, given to the world?
If this was your business card, what description of you would it bear? What message would you impart to those who know you and to those who do not.
It is easy to live day by day going about our daily routines and tasks with little thought as to the part we may play in the whole cosmos, of Gods world. Some, believe they have no purpose, no impact, no significance in how this world evolves. Interestingly, we have all heard the saying, “no action is action.” It is literally impossible to not have any effect upon the world, whether you believe that or not. All things are relative…cause and effect, if you will. Therefore, what you do or do not do, what you relay or do not relay, DOES MATTER.
God, sent a very specific message to Samuel. this message bears many truths to it even today as we engage in so many societal and spiritual concerns, but I deeply urge you to read that verse again and ponder on it. How do YOU look at a person? What messages are you putting forth to the greater human race? What do YOU want to be known by…..your stature, your fortunes, your stance on topics, or your HEART? And lastly, which of those things do you believe GOD cares most about?
Blessings,
T.
